Plastic structured packing is a type of high - efficiency packing with a regular geometric structure, which is widely used in various industrial separation processes. It is made of plastic materials through processes such as extrusion, hot pressing or injection molding, and has the characteristics of light weight, corrosion resistance, and easy installation. Compared with random packing, plastic structured packing has more regular fluid channels, which can effectively improve the efficiency of gas - liquid mass transfer and reduce energy consumption.

Classification of Products

  1. Plastic Corrugated Packing : This is the most common type of plastic structured packing. Its main structure is composed of a number of corrugated sheets arranged in parallel. The corrugated direction of adjacent sheets is perpendicular to each other, forming a network of channels. According to the different angles of the corrugations, it can be divided into different types such as 30° and 45°, which are suitable for different process requirements.
  1. Plastic Grid Packing : It is composed of a number of grid plates connected in a certain way to form a regular grid structure. This structure has large voids and high mechanical strength, and is suitable for occasions with large gas - liquid flow and easy blockage.
  1. Plastic Honeycomb Packing : As the name implies, its structure is similar to a honeycomb, with many regular hexagonal or square small holes. It has a large specific surface area and good mass transfer performance, and is often used in absorption and desorption processes with low pressure drop requirements.

Product Features

  1. Excellent Corrosion Resistance : Made of plastic materials such as polypropylene (PP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), it has good resistance to acids, alkalis, organic solvents and other corrosive media, and can be used stably in harsh chemical environments.
  1. High Mass Transfer Efficiency : The regular structure design makes the gas and liquid contact more fully, and the mass transfer area is large. At the same time, the fluid flows in an orderly manner in the packing, reducing the phenomenon of wall flow and back mixing, thus improving the mass transfer efficiency.
  1. Low Pressure Drop : The smooth surface of the plastic material and the reasonable channel design make the resistance of the gas and liquid passing through the packing small, resulting in a low pressure drop of the system. This is conducive to reducing the energy consumption of the fan or pump and saving operating costs.
  1. Light Weight and Easy Installation : Compared with metal structured packing, plastic structured packing has a lighter weight, which reduces the load on the tower body. In addition, it is usually made into modular components, which is convenient for transportation, installation and replacement, saving construction time and labor costs.
  1. Good Hydrophilicity Adjustability : By modifying the surface of the plastic material, the hydrophilicity of the packing can be adjusted. For processes that require good wetting of the liquid on the packing surface, the hydrophilicity of the packing can be improved to enhance the mass transfer effect.

Application Fields

  1. Chemical Industry : It is widely used in distillation, absorption, extraction and other separation processes in the chemical industry. For example, it can be used in the separation of organic solvents, the absorption of harmful gases in chemical waste gas treatment, etc.
  1. Environmental Protection Field : In the field of environmental protection, it is used in waste gas treatment and wastewater treatment. In waste gas treatment, it can be used for the absorption of sulfur dioxide, nitrogen oxides and other pollutants; in wastewater treatment, it can be used as a carrier for biological membranes in biological treatment processes to promote the degradation of organic matter.
  1. Food and Pharmaceutical Industry : Due to its non - toxicity, easy cleaning and good corrosion resistance, it is suitable for separation and purification processes in the food and pharmaceutical industry. Such as the concentration of fruit juice, the purification of pharmaceutical intermediates, etc.
  1. Water Treatment Engineering : In water treatment engineering, it can be used in water purification processes such as water softening, deaeration and removal of organic matter, improving the quality of treated water.
